Jené Wheeless

 

Jené Wheeless is a classically trained dancer and seasoned choreographer with over two decades of experience in styles including jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, tap, modern, and musical theater. A former professional dancer and collegiate NDA national champion, Jené brings a dynamic, performance-focused approach to both the stage and the studio.

She has taught and choreographed at renowned studios across Los Angeles and the East Coast, including MNR Dance Factory, AVA Dance Company, and DMDC, where she was a founding instructor. Her choreography has earned top placements at regional competitions, including multiple Top Overalls in jazz and musical theatre.

Jené’s performance background includes appearances with the Washington Football Team and as a featured burlesque dancer in Washington, D.C. She is passionate about creating strong, expressive dancers and is known for her attention to detail, musicality, and mentorship in both competitive and recreational settings.

At Starlight, she brings her love of movement, storytelling, and technical foundation to every class, inspiring dancers of all levels to find their voice through dance.
